Hi! I’m Rosemary Williams, known as a sister, a daughter, a wife (one of 5), mother, grandma, student, friend and cousin to the countless unwashed masses, as well as some washed ones, too… will now attempt to share a bit of what I’ve created over the past few years.
Standing in the middle of this jostle of children, sister wives, friends and acquaintances, I’ve got creations to share, some performed with acceptable talent, definitely all created with love and some delivered with a good laugh.
Don’t worry if you tend to love the darker stuff. I hope I dive deep enough for that - exploring the dark is what you have to do until you find the light. Hopefully this is a safe site for everyone, but some of the poetry and art explores a bit of the darker side, so be forewarned if you’re triggered easily.
Prompted to begin painting again, after a hiatus of 40 years, and armed with a new degree in music education which I recently achieved - nearly into my middle age, along with the extra time allowed to me now that I’m ‘retired’ (EARLY! Thank you, Brady!), it’s my goal to share some of the creations that have come out of my pen, out of my brain, out of my fingers lately. A song. A poem, A play. An image turned painting. Something I’ve learned. Something I’m working on.
I hate bragging and this isn’t about that at all. This is a response to the pull I feel to “Let my light so shine” and also to follow my own inner prompting to be open to light and to allow God to use me as an instrument. I hope for peace. Also, I’m trying to not hide my candle under a bushel. ….so to speak, and so, by sharing, I’m sharing my personal weaknesses and prejudices, too. Give me some grace and realize I’m a normal, in-progress human.
If I added joy to your day, help me by sharing or liking, or commenting. I appreciate positive and helpful feedback.
